The passion and vision for specialty coffee shines through at all levels at Felipe's farm; not only in highly developed agricultural and processing techniques, but also in the selection of varieties. Pioneering work is done here under controlled conditions - accordingly, Jardines del Eden coffees are limited and sought after.
About the history of Gesha: Originally discovered in the forests of Gesha village in Ethiopia in the 1930s, the seeds found their way to Panama in the 1950s. An auction by the Peterson family of Hacienda Esmeralda brought to market a small quantity of the Gesha, which has enchanted the specialty coffee scene with its incomparable floral and fruity notes.
