Felipe Arcila, Jardines del Eden, Quindio
Variety: Red Gesha
washed, 1700-1900 m

No doubt you remember this coffee, one of the absolute favorites at past coffee festivals... an exceptional filter with an intense sweetness that lingers on the palate and in the memory for a long time.

Now we have it washed processed! ❤️

The profile of the roast is even cleaner thanks to the processing method. Notes of honey, red apple, cherry, but also rhubarb and lavender come together in the cup. Definitely something worth trying ;)

Jardines del Eden is a 19-hectare competition farm in the Quindio department, dedicated to the cultivation of exotic and rare varietals. Situated at 1800 to 2500 m, with temperatures between 12 and 26 °C and a diverse flora and fauna, a unique microclimate is created that is ideal for growing exceptional coffees.

The passion and vision for specialty coffee shines through at all levels on Felipe's farm; not only in the highly developed agricultural and processing techniques, but also in the selection of varieties. Pioneering work is carried out here and experiments are conducted under controlled conditions - the coffees from Jardines del Eden are correspondingly limited and sought-after.

About the history of Gesha: Originally discovered in the forests of the Gesha village in Ethiopia in the 1930s, the seeds found their way to Panama in the 1950s. An auction by the Peterson family of Hacienda Esmeralda brought a small quantity of Gesha to the market, which has enchanted the specialty coffee scene with its incomparable floral and fruity notes.
