New crop - back in stock! After you (and we!) had so much joy with this coffee last year and the profile of the new crop was a real highlight to cup once again, we are delighted to have a new edition of this beautiful Panama Geisha in our range.

The Franceschi family migrated from Corsica to Panama around 1800, where they first pursued various activities, including cattle breeding and shipbuilding. In 1950, Carmen Franceschi finally had the idea of entering the coffee business - the family farm is named Carmen Estate in her honor - with great success: Carlos Aguilera Franceschi runs the farm in the third generation.

About the processing: Each day during the harvest, the ripe, red cherries are transferred from the field to the mill as quickly as possible. The skin, pulp and mucilage are washed away using low water usage machinery. The parchments are pre-dried in the natural sunlight on concrete patios before being mechanically dried to meet their final moisture content.

Geisha grows particularly well at high altitudes and in Panama's special microclimate, this coffee is no exception. The region's climate is perfect for growing the floral and complex Geishas. Grown in the shade, the cherries ripen more slowly due to the cooler air, making them sweet and dense.
